Transferrrrsss Babyyy
Yoooo what's good everyone!!!! Hope all is well with you guys!!
We had the most average week of my life, lol. Literally almost nothing eventful happened so we'll see how this email goes
We met a new lady, her name is Patricia. She has a Masters in theology and knows a ton about a bunch of religions. She told us the one she hasn't learned about is the "Mormons", lol. That's always so funny when people call us that. Anyway, she had like her note pad out and taking a bunch of notes. It was a super long lesson, we literally taught almost all the Restoration and Plan of Salvation in that first lesson, it was crazy. She's super interested and we kinda mentioned baptism and she seemed down for it!!! She even came to Stake Conference this last Sunday and she really liked it. We originally thought after the first lesson that she was just here for the info, but now we think she is really interested. Also at Stake Conference, every talk was about temples, and after she came up to us and goes, "I got some questions", so yeah lol, we are gonna be answering those real soon. She's been progressing and keeping commitments which is dope!!!
- Exchange -
Elder Rincon and I had an exchange on Monday yesterday, and it was great!! We did so much biking, we didn't get a single ride from the other elders with the truck which is how it normally goes. So we were flying everywhere on our bikes. We had a lesson with a recent convert, and his mom happened to be there too. He isn't a member. Then I finally got to meet Alex.... And he's goated. He races motorcycles which is so sick!!! Literally he is so sick, he's from Colombia and has a Suzuki 750. We told us to race him to the gas station for a bite to eat.... We definitely won (we lost). He bought us some snacks and we were just in the parking lot. He said he had a race the other day and took 2nd out of 27. I snagged a pic with him before we left.
- Transfers -
We got transfer info babyyyyy. So the plan is that Elder Rincon is headed to be Zone Leader, and I'm getting a new Elder, Elder Medina. He's going to be the New District Leader so I'm back to being District Monkey. I'm excited tho, I'm staying in the same area which means I'm giving a talk this Sunday, which I'm not excited for, lol. But it's all good, just adding to the grind.
Today for P-Day we played a bunch of basketball and just hung out. Then the Spanish Elders had a lunch thing with a member, so we went to that, and it was super good. They took us to a Mexican restaurant and the food was so good!! We just talked and had food. Then we headed to the Drive Shack, which is basically just Top Golf. We had a ton of fun and I hit the back wall. After that we just headed back home and now we are just chillin' and I'm writing my email.
I'm about out of time so ima go ahead and peace. I hope everything is going great!!! I'll catch a next week

Oh Boy...
Okay so a lot has happened this past week and I got a lot to say. I hope everything went great this past week for all of you. Let's get it...
Aight to start off, we are gonna do a little follow up on Jessica, who I talked about last week. Her husband was the one who keeps getting hung up on everything we say and just can't understand/believe anything we tell him for some reason. And so whenever we are trying to share a message with Jessica to help her progress and prepare her for the baptism we have set up in a few weeks, we end up only talking to the husband because he doesn't understand anything, no matter simply we explain it. And so the whole lesson is focused on Javier and we didn't achieve anything with Jessica. We got to the point a week or two ago to try to teach her without the husband and just come by earlier so that we could focus on her because she has a date (we said that beating around the bush on it). However, she told us she wants us to teach her and Javier together. And then the other day we decided to be bold about it, and told her we want to just teach her because it isn't helping her prepare very well and be ready for her baptism, and she is now ghosting us so hurray.... We had to be bold or else we would literally get nowhere with Javier in the lesson, so hopefully she comes around, we are planning on stopping by this week to see what's up, so I'll let you guys know what happens next week. ALSO, the last lesson we had with them they were just chowing down on some chicken feet. Literally was so gross, it reminded me of Kaden's (my brother) mission because he had that.... Yuck
This email is coming later than normal because we are headed to the temple today which I'm super excited about!!! We are actually headed there right now, and we are going to stop by XXXTentacions Grave and take a little pic But I'm overall super excited to go to the temple because I always have amazing experiences and feel the spirit so strongly.
I was abused yesterday....by my bike. I got completely destroyed yesterday and I'm not very happy about it. We were riding bikes yesterday, and we were coming across an intersection. There was a ton of people waiting for the cross walk on the sidewalk where I needed to go, and were all trying to move. So I decided I would save them the trouble and just go up the curb and just go on the grass, in between 2 flags, and around them, like a nice person :) Well when I came up on the curb, I went to go between the flags, and turns out it was a full on metal framed signed, I didn't realize cuz I was going super fast and just worried about the curb. So I ended up hitting the very corner of the sign, and it dragged across my shoulder and down the side of my back and ended up tearing open my shirt and cutting my shoulder and back. I'll put pics down here, I was just fine but it cut my shirt which was annoying. THEN later in the day, we were crossing an intersection (my new enemy) and I had my phone out checking where we were and where to go, and I was going one handed, and someone somewhere thought it would be a good idea to put a pothole in the middle of the intersection sho I hit that and it moved my handlebars to the left and I fell, rolling and sliding on the concrete. Fortunately for me, I'm just so skilled at falling I only hurt my elbow (I'm kidding I didn't know what happened), but after that I was not having it the rest of the day lol. I'm okay though so don't worry.
We've been having a rough time finding people to progress. Almost everyone is just too busy working and doesn't have time to either come to church or even meet with us. What the Latinos say here is instead of Estados Unidos (United States), they call it "Esclavos Unidos" (United Slaves).... Which I can see why they say that because most of them work almost every single day, actually everyday in some cases every single day, all day long until late at night. So finding people to progress and keep commitments, and get them to church has been a struggle. We are trying to figure out new ways to improve and find a solution.
I'm really starting to feel the love for the people here. As I am talking with people either in lessons, or in the streets, I just start to feel so happy and a love for them I didn't know I had. It makes me so happy, I am seriously the happiest when I'm in lessons or just talking to people. So even though I'm trying super hard to understand, just being in the room with them and feeling the love for them grows my testimony so much. I have seen many times where I share my testimony and I'm saying things I didn't really know how to say, and it seems to touch them which makes me happy that I can see progress and the help of the Lord in his work.
I know that this is exactly where I need to be, here serving and helping the amazing people here in Florida. I know that I am here for a reason and that God loves all of his children all across the world. My relationship with the Lord has grown so strongly and my testimony is skyrocketing. I love this gospel and all the blessings and amazing things that come with it.
I hope everything is going great!!! Have an amazing week, transfers are this week so I'll email again on Tuesday!!

ON DATE BABYYYY
Okay a ton has happened this week so let's get right to it.
We met a new family through English class. The wife's name is Jessica, and the husband's name is Javier. They are amazing.... We taught them 3 times in one week!!! The wife is doing amazing, she's keeping all the commitments we have given her, reading the Book of Mormon, the pamphlet, and praying. She is remembering all of the things we are telling her, she says that she feels that everything we have told her is true, which is awesome!! The husband on the other hand, is a different story, lol. He was getting caught up on so many different things for no reason. He was confused why we couldn't have Google on our phones, or be in the house with his wife alone, or stay for as long as we want. When we pulled out the Book of Mormon in the lesson, he looked a little scared and goes "wait you're Mormons?" We had a super long useless conversation on that. But he's doing better, they both came to church this last Sunday and I think they loved it!! The husband was making sense out of Elders Quorum so props to them for that. The one thing is that they have 2 little kids that just scream and cry all the time, lol, so it's hard for them to give complete focus to us and the lesson we have for them.
Spanish has been coming along good. I've been trying to speak as much Spanish as I can with my comp so that I can improve my speaking and understanding. There are so many new words I hear every single day and so much Vocab to get down, but I'm doing my best!!!
The overall work has been coming along pretty good, the biggest problem we have with our friends is getting them to church because most of the people here in South Florida are fresh out of their country. And so all day long they have to work every single day. So it's hard to find people who are willing to change up their schedule or quit their job and put their trust in the Lord. So the work right now is a lot of sifting through a lot of people which hurts, but it's okay.
Today we went to a ton of stores, Nike, Adidas, H&M, Ross, and just did a ton of looking around. I ended up getting pants which, I'm super excited for. Ready to start this week and work super hard.
I hope everything is going good wherever you're at!!! Have a great week!! I'll email ya'll next week!!!
Love,
Elder Harbs
